In year 10 R.E we have been looking at religious leaders and are studying Martin Luther King: How does someone change society for the better?

We looked at Martin Luther King’s political engagement and to get a feel for how politics works we visited City Hall on 26th September to learn about the Greater London Assembly.

We were given a tour of the building, including the balcony on the top floor, and we were fortunate enough for the pupils to sit in the places of the London Assembly members and to discuss problems facing London. Our tour guide even encouraged our pupils to think about entering politics in a bid to become the future London Mayor.
