WHAT CAN A POINT DO!

Elm Court boys’ teams visited Long Lane Football Club for their first game of the season.

The A team playing some really good football but almost let a point get away from their grasp.  They drew 0-0 with the Glebe A team due to a superb save from Chie who looked as though he had been playing with the team all his life.   The Elm Court B team got off to a flyer with both goals coming from Chadaine who ran their defence ragged. Overall it was a great team effort. The staff and referee selected Darion as the player who consistently gave a hundred percent. Both A and B teams played the next game; Elm Court A team made up for their slow start by hammering the B team 4-0 with goals coming from Billy, Jamal and two from Malachi. Elm Court A team went on to beat Helen Allison 3-0 with goals coming from Billy, Jamal and Nino.  Elm Court B team lost out to Glebe A team 3-0.  This meant Elm Court A team finished top by goal difference.  Outstanding performances from Billy, Chie and Darion from the A and B teams.
