Mathematics at Elm Court

Planning a holiday, building a house or hosting a dinner party? Then you will encounter Mathematics.

Mathematics is the key to success in life and at Elm Court School our young people are successful Mathematicians and go on to be successful in society. Our approach to teaching at Elm Court is practical and creative.

Pupils currently use Practical Maths, where they use practical activities to learn Mathematics concepts. For example using a remote control car to learn directions. Elm Court will also be planning a Maths Festival, which will be a day of practical Mathematics activities such as tiling a wall. The aim being to apply learnt mathematical concepts in everyday applications.
