Tangrams – using the shapes from a tangram to make many other pictures

Basketball challenge – Recording their points from a 2 and 3 point marker, and placing them onto a tally score sheet.

Bracelet making – using loom bands, threads and beads to make bracelet, using repeat patterns.

Assault Course – Under, over and  through: all at speed with students starting and stoping the timer and recording their times onto a score sheet.

Kebabs – Using fruit to make shapes and putting them onto kebab sticks in a repeat pattern, good fun and tasty.

Cube games – Problem solving and skill based games from ITV’s the CUBE.

Enlargement – using a 3×3 grid to enlarge a Manga picture to 9m2 – it looked great!

During the festival the sky opened up and we had Thunder, Lighting and rain, but this didn’t dampen our festival as the students showed the Great British character and relocated inside, showing a real ability to cope with any situation.  However, the fun doesn’t stop there and we will be using the data generated to look at handling data from tally charts, bar charts to mean, medium and mode in our lessons this half term.
