We are looking forward to welcoming our Year 7 students in September.
Several of our future Year 7 students attended a Transition Summer Camp in July at Elm Court which was run by Let Me Play, an organisation that specialises this sports, education and positive activities. The camp was designed to help ease our students into the transition from primary school to secondary school. Let Me Play carefully planned a programme to expose students to different aspects of secondary school life in the hope that students gained a clear understanding of what Elm Court School will be like.
Students took part in sporting and curriculum activities and were able to record and reflect on their experiences as well as being familiar with their new environment and making friends.
The camp was a great success and will be run again next year.
